🙁 Sorry to hear that,he sounds like a good chap 🙁
.The Fury i meant flying again, was the one in the USA that tipped over yesterday i can’t believe anyone would let it fly.
Hopefully the one in Sweden will become a nice tribute in time.
It was a Corsair that went over the other day in the USA.

Jim Tobul’s Corsair will not be flying again for some time, though I read that he has stated that he hopes it will be back flying again by the end of the year. The news piece about it flying again the next day is really, really bad reporting, which likely should have said that the airshow was going ahead the next day.

Did the Fury in the USA fly then? i hope not .
Since Paul Morgans death were any modifications put in place on other Furys [pilot protection in the cockpit ] to stop it happening again .http://www.aero-news.net/index.cfm?do=main.textpost&id=54a4c69e-d3ce-4e32-898b-03d14ee2b5c5
The Sea Fury was imported from the USA and following the accident was sold to Sweden where I believe it still is under rebuild. To be totally honest nothing would have prevented Paul being killed, the ground was so soft the fin and rudder went into the ground by about 3 feet. A tragic loss of a wonderful man and a great friend.

So glad to hear pilot is ok, brings back very bad memories seeing a big piston fighter upside down on the runway like that.

Bit optimistic on the flying part indeed.

Glad the pilot is ok and hopefully the plane will fly again one day.
I am just glad we don’t have to watch American broadcasting -completely OTT utter rubbish.
Were they serious about the plane flying today!!!! — just rebend the props, kick the engine to make sure it is still roughly at the front of the aircraft

Also glad that Jim will be ok !
I also was a wee bit sceptical that the a/c will fly ‘tomorrow’ !

Glad Jim is going to be ok.
What an awful year this is turning into in the US, at least 4 fatal vintage aircraft-related accidents already, and now this.

Looks like the plane will be in good shape to fly tomorrow?
