Been scanning and processing more negatives and hope these are of some interest. Just got to love the healing brush for getting rid of dust spots and scratches though.
If I remember rightly, and stand to be corrected on this, the hangers were undergoing major renovations at the time so some of the aircraft were parked outside. It was an overcast day and raining.

The Viking is at Brooklands Museum, the Liberator is now at Hendon in place of the Valiant that moved to Cosford.
The rest of the Aircraft are still at Cosford.

Always nice to see the old pictures but where are some of these now?
We were in Coford last November and it is a very good museum but we need to visit again as the new development the cold war does not open until next month.
Shame some of the aircraft in the pictures are no more I can understand Cosford only wants a military connection and some of the aircraft are civilan but if only they could have found a home some where else I know some have but that aviation and money plays a big past in all of this if only I was megger rich or even rich.

The Valetta is still at Cosford in the Storage Hangar along with the wings I am told.

Allegros and Marinas
Amazing how recent this seems, yet since I took an almost identical set of photos (time out from A Level study!), I’ve been through four years of university and worked for seventeen! As with the recent Beverley thread, it’s also an eye opener looking at the cars!
This brings a question, though…..The Viking is now at Brooklands, but what became of the Valetta, and are its wings stored anywhere?

It seems like only yesterday, you were right hangars 2&3 were having new roofs on.
