‘Ghost Station’ (first Volume) by Bruce Barrymore Halpenny has info. As I recall its a friendly ghost called Fred. He is very helpful with the Lincoln, heating the interior, speeding up difficult jobs etc…

I’ve got a very old Sunday supplement article about it somewhere-an investigator is supposed to have taped the sounds of crews doing checks/flicking switches etc inside, and apparently there was once a crewman who ‘loved the plane so much he said he would haunt it’!!! He’s supposedly been seen hanging about the aircraft.
Sounds like the stuff of nonsense to me, but I’ll see if I can find the article anyway. 😮

Hi, Andrewman.
There have apparently been ghostly sightings of a figure associated with the Lincoln for a number of years. Can’t remember the full story though. I visit Cosford at least 6 to 8 times a year now and have never seen anything remotely spectral there. There’s sometimes an odd atmosphere in that hangar but I think that’s just a case of auto-suggestion. If anything should happen to be there it’s not going to hurt anyone so leave it in peace.
