Just watched both BBC and ITV lunch-time news bulletins. Cosford have obviously had a pre-opening publicity day.
The BBC covered it on their national news so if you read this in time you might catch on the 6pm and/or 10pm bulletins. Although they showed some archive film of an early Vulcan they concentrated on transport types with only a quick glimpse of the Lightning, Vulcan nose and (in the background) Javelin. Curator Al McLean and ?? were interviewed.
ITV’s coverage appeared on the local “Central News” and was, I think, a superior report – apart from me being sure I heard the reporter say Valiad instead of Valiant. No archive film and better camera positions (including panning from Vulcan, past the Victor to the Valiad(!)). Top dog Dr. Fopp was interviewed on this report. Again (for those in the Midlands area) it will hopefully be repeated at 6pm and/or approx 10.50pm tonight.

Also a good feature on Radio 4’s Today Programme this morning, couching the exhibition in the wider context of the socio-cultural aspects of the cold war
-and the fact that it finished with a whimper rather than a bang!
