It’s nothing with the religion of Army cheif.

BTW, The situation is very clam. No one die. No shot have been fired. You can even take the photo with the tank.

Man, It’s nothing with the King too. But undenyably seem like he is the only one who could stop, if it’s would happen, the chaos.

The military pormise to hand back the power to the poeple in the democracy way, I still doubt that, but we should wait and see.

Good to hear from someone on the ground…you never know what to beleive in tv these days!!!

A Muslim General stages a coup in a country that is 95% Budhist? Constitution suspended. Government Ministers driven out or arrested? We shall wait and see what the next couple of days brings.

Wow look who’s anti-Muslim

This is certainly not the first coup in Thailand and for that matter is fully backed by the country’s ruling king (yes, a country where a king actually has power and is much revered by the populace as well). Now whatever has the General’s RELIGION anything to do with this matter? Or is it just your islamophobia speaking again?

Hasn’t this got something to do with the King anyway, something to do with the PM trying to take too much power or something. Only caught a little on TV but there doesn’t seem to be any opposition from the police or other army units

You can go if you want – airport is still open. But although things are peaceful you might not be able to have much fun if restrictions are still in place on evening activities.

I hope the Thai king can help sort this out – the coup leaders went off to see him. He does have a lot of authority. When civilians were shot by the Army in the 1990s he made the PM crawl around on the floor in front of him on TV and apologise.

What does this mean for people travelling to Bangkok in the near future? (i.e. me)
