Good old telly, monday night BBC2, a programme about Sir Alan Cobham with some good insights and old footage, looked like the programme originated on BBC East.
Last night a programme about Amelia Erhart, nice reconstruction involving something that looked like a Beech, but was much older, interesting programme, not sure about the assumption of the Japanese capture and subsequent anonymous life afterwards. Comments please.
As an aside, my mother, still going strong at 90, is always upset at being physically compared to Amy Johnson, she thought she was a bit of a prima donna!!! Always had trouble dragging her off to airshows, even the old man used to despair in such situations.

Hi Pete,
Amelia Earhart programme was good. I think the theory that she lived on was smashed to pieces by the photo expert at the end. The Japanese part hasn’t really advanced since Fred Goerner’s ‘The Search For Amelia Earhart’ in 1966. Apart from that, good.
Best Wishes.
Robert.
