I didn’t realize you could do a course to enable you to land an aircraft.
My Brother in Law goes flying now and again, with a friend at Old Buckenham.
I’m not sure if he’s already done it, or is due to do a course, which will enable him to land
in an emergency, if his friend is taken ill. Sounds like a good idea.

In the U.S. the EAA sponsors a similar “Pinch Hitter” course (that’s a baseball term).

More usually called a “Safety Pilot Course”
There are many on offer, well worth a Google.
