i knew it was a DA42,just the first time i’ve seen one in the flesh
thanks for posting this pic, Tartan, I spotted that somewhat unusual aerial carriage overflying Welwyn Garden City a week ago and thought I was hallucinating.

Tartan, you were in the right place at the right time. There’s only one 748 present today.

I may be training on them soon … converted Merc A-class 1.7 litre them engines.
There is one spot you can park up just down past the west entrance out of Baginton village. First left puts you just to the south side of the 05 threshold.

The weird looking beastie as you call it .
is a twin star diesel powered machine.
Cheers Vulcan..i knew it was a DA42,just the first time i’ve seen one in the flesh, the diesel engines would explain the very odd sound it makes 🙂

Great shots Tartan, what time did the contrail go over? I may have it on my basestation.
The A330 went over at 13:37. LTU seems likely, just definitely seems lacking in colour above the windows, it appears to only have a cheatline through the fuselage.
Thanks for the input lads.

I think the camera has just blew the top part out. If it’s the LTU that passed over between 13:30-13:45 it is…

Dont think there is enough red on it to be LTU. Ill go with Turkish or TAM at an outside shot ?
By: Matt K - 21st November 2006 at 14:40
Looks like an LTU to me too, looks like theres red above the windows or is it just me? lol. You can see the red line below the windows too…..

Hi Tartan
Had a look around and the A330 looks like it’s a Turkish one,Kenya is a all boeing fleet
Some good shot there,

Super pics there Tartan!! Lovin the first one too. Looks like that overhead is a LTU.
Thought the same myself at first, but, it is missing the orange above the windows.
