Coventry HS.748

Saw these fantastic pictures on another part of the Flypast forum. Scroll past the first pic of the 737 (modern smartie tube yuk) taking of but a couple of fantastic pictures of the 748’s stranded at the airport since the airline went under.

Anybody know whats going on with them? are they for sale. Be a shame to see them disapear as there isnt many of these old girls left around now.

Sounds too much like non-pprofit making hard-work. 🙂

By the way a 748 has disappeared in the last 24 hours!

On a different note Alan, whats happening with all the Electra’s at the airport. Are the none working airframes going to be scrapped and if so when will this happen?

To be honest Rob,I haven’t a clue!
I can ask the question though, but don’t hold your breath for an answer.

No Problem.
Coincidentally, on another group today it was reported that only G-AYIM was still present as the other aircraft had departed.

I believe that they might be getting ready for a ferry flight to Blackpool as some of the fleet have been bought by another operator ,possibly in Aus… BUT I may be wrong!
Cheers, Alan.
