B-24
Just received this B-24 part that is confirmed as also being an engine cowl. One of the hinged panels just behind the front.
This is from a known B-24H.
The front has a silver paint on it – On top of chromate green.
No 32 stamps unfortunately

Rob – yes original green and grey paint.
All I know is that it came from Belgium- so possibly an RCAF machine lost on a rhubarb ?

Ah I see. Brilliant find in my opinion and I presume that’s original paint too. Any idea as to the aircrafts identity! Brian?

Rob on the P-51A – these were just in front of the cockpit between the firewall and the engine.
The shark fin grill is easily spotted on the starboard side pics.

Technically it is described in the manual as engine accessory compartment top cover.
