Cradle of Aviation Museum, Long Island

I went to visit the Cradle of Aviation Museum on Saturday and was impressed with what I saw. Photography is trick in some places as the exhibits are on top of each other in places and lighting not brilliant but on the whole a very enjoyable museum. Easy to get to by train from New York too.

Photos are on my website here;

However, I am stuck with what this aircraft is, does anyone have any more info on it please:

Thanks

Is it not some Burt Rutan job? Looks like one to me.

Certainly has its basis in a Rutan Vari-EZ or Long-EZ.

“THE PRINCESS OF MARS. This is the most whimsical flying craft in the
museum – and not entirely farfetched, since Mars does have an atmosphere.
Floating above the Red Planet Cafe, the white and red one-seat jet is a sleek
amalgam of airplane leftovers – with a couple of snow skis in front. It is
named after the book by Edgar Rice Burroughs.”
