The big birds are nice to see, we even get private jets sometimes. However, the light aircraft make it interesting too as theres always more variety at GA airfields as opposed to Heathrow, Manchester etc.

Thanks for the info. You are right, G-LUXE has certainly lived an interesting life so far.
Cranfield is Jetstream heaven at the moment, not just with the uni’s aircraft, but also some ex Highland Airways Jetstreams are also there too.
On a good day Cranfield can be really good for photos/spotting.
I havent been there for like 10 yrs since i was around 15/16.. but some jestreams and a 146 is def a good reason to visit.

G-LUXE was the prototype 146-100 and after a fuselage stretch the prototype -300 as well. Served for a good few years as a trials aircraft at Hatfield and Woodford.
G-NFLA is a Jetstream 31, ex-G-BRGN.
Interesting pics from a location not photographed too often.

G-LUXE – First BAe 146 built I believe. Now serves as a meteorological research aircraft and based at Cranfield.
G-BRUX – PA44 Seminole
G-NFLA – Jetstream owned by Cranfield uni and the college of aeronautics
G-OCCO – Cabair DA40 Diamond Star
G-BZOY – Beech 76 Dutchess.
