thanks to all !

Yes, I have done a mistake of the date!! (sorry, I have so much dates to research here !)
It is the 8th/9th. August 1941 (Hampden Hereford, QR-? 2 POW, 2 KIA), so my research of crash actually.

Which must make it Handley Page Hampden I X3127, QR-_ of 61Sqn.
P/O JWW Graham PoW
Sgt LR Biddlecombe PoW
Sgt WD Hughes PoW
Sgt AC Nuttall RNZAF – probably died in the air, buried in Kiel War Cemetery.
Info from RAF Bomber Command Losses of WWII, Vol 2.

I don’t think Hereford’s were ever used on operational bombing raids during WW2

GL was the Squadron code for 185 Sqn, which flew Hampdens until May 1940

However on 28 September 1939, on the day that Mr Hitler was due in Kiel to present the Iron Cross to a U Boat Commander, a Blenheim 1V of 110 Sqn crashed near the city during a reconnaissance sortie to the area. Believed to have been shot down by fighter aircraft.

W/Co I McL Cameron RAAF
Sgt T C Hammond
AC1 T Fullerton

All are buried in the Reichwald Forest War Cemetery.
