Crashed 'WW2' aircraft in Carron Valley Resevoir, Scotland?

Listening to a recent episode of BBC Scotland’s Out of Doors podcast, they were on Carron Valley reservoir with the local fishery manager. He stated that at times when the water level is very low, there is a rumour you can see the tail of a WW2 aircraft sticking up.

Anyone heard this? I know about the Firefly on Meikle Binn (Many a trip to visit as a lad) but I’d not heard this one before. Another rural myth?

There seems to be a rich history of aircraft apparently residing in reservoirs in the central belt!
