dark light

Crazy US Airways idea

Thread title says it all.

US Airways’ current scheme does not lend itself to keeping the aircraft cool inside. That dark top absorbs the sunlight and causes them to have to run the AC cooler more often. I think, not sure, that this can effect fuel economy slightly. At the very least it puts a small strain on the air conditioning.

Enter my crazy solution:

Using slightly darker silver paint than VS does to help reflect the sunlight.
Logo and typeface remain the same to save the cost of rebranding the entire airline and all its support facilities, stationary, signage etc.

I, too, like the red line.

But I think I’d prefer it to be beneath the cabin windows.

I rather like the red line. It akin to a red hanky on an otherwise somber blue pin-stripe suit. Professional, with a smidge of color for flair…:)

Obviously you’re someone who understands design 😉

Thank you folks… mixed responses to a crazy idea 😀

Could we squeeze in some color on the tail section. I always thought the US Airways tail makrings were looking devoid of any live.
