There is a small aviation content to the following event, so I thought I’d let everyone know in case anyone fancies visiting. I don’t think advertising an event breaks forum rules ( it’s not a product or service ), but I’m sure the mods will delete if I’ve goofed!
Croft Racing Circuit near Darlington, Co Durham are holding a Nostalgia event, along the lines of the Goodwood Revival event. This is the first event of this kind to be held at Croft.
There will be classic car racing across the weekend, military vehicles and dioramas on display, R/C models, a 1940’s fashion show, and 1940’s entertainment and a bar on Saturday evening ( not 1940’s prices unfortunately ). Simon and ‘Taff’ are bringing their Isaacs Fury & Jungmeister respectively, which will be on static display and should be displaying during the weekend ( weather and paperwork permitting ). Other Croft based aircraft should also be on static display.
Details about the event can be found at http://www.croftmilitary.co.uk/
and advanced tickets can be obtained from the Croft Circuit website – http://www.croftcircuit.co.uk/
The attached pictures show some of the attractions which should be attending.
