Just catching up on past Flypasts’, registration was G-ANKV. Did the aircraft sell and where is it now?

Interesting on the advert he says fully functioning Tiger Moths are fetching 40K! However this machine would require 40K plus to get it to that standard!

Probably more than that, its not got an engine and one of those cost in the region of £30K to overhaul if you had one! However Tigers in pristine condition are fetching nearer £70K:)

Missed seeing the project Tiger Moth. The price seems about right for it and I would have thought that a complete static similar to the Croydon one would be £10-15K even with no engine.

Bearing the estimate for a FSM Spitfire going for auction is £50K

Really ? That’s very low, bearing in mind a strictly static only project with lots of work to be done just sold for £4,000…

Its very difficult to put a value on this, as a museum piece my estimate would be no more than £2500…

Its very difficult to put a value on this, as a museum piece my estimate would be no more than £2500 but if it has a useable fuselage frame and wings it would be valued at a fair bit more. Unfortunately you would only find out by buying it and stripping it down.

It was apparently an unconverted Tiger that was restored to static condition by Acebell Aviation back in the late 80’s/early 90’s

Whether it uses mostly restorable components is anyones guess!
