CSKA Moscow 1-1 Rangers

Well that’s the result of the football match that brought two Yakolev 42’s and a certain Boeing Business Jet owned by Russian football impressario Roman Abramovitch to Glasgow Airport today.

I cycled , yes cycled the 6 miles from my home to a rare sunny GLA to get these pictures for you people (pant. pant).

A note to Grey Area, I only shot the one Yak, the other was miles away and beyond the power of my legs…. 😀

You can see it however in the background of the BBJ touchdown shot. That was the second one to come in. The one I snapped at the north side was carrying the football squad and arrived on Tuesday.

At my last count Roman Abromvich had in operation:

1 x 737
2 x Bombardier Global Express
1 x Bombardier CRJ 100SE
2 x Eurocopter Helicopters
3 x Dassault Falcon 50
2 x Dassault Falcon 900

Lucky bloke!

I flew back into Glasgow last night from Bristol about 20.45 with Easyjet. We taxied past both Yak’s, and parked up right next to the 737. Unfortunately I didn’t have my camera with me 😡

What I can tell you is that the 737 was absolutely gleaming, he must booked an optional full-valet with his plane-parking fee … 😀

Yeah I heard that too, how many planes do you need and why isn’t he buying Russian ?

Interesting to see those Yaks today, couldn’t help recalling the days of Trident 1’s at Glasgow or is that just coincidence ? 😀

Excellent shots! I hear Abramovich has also acquired a 763 for conversion to a business jet with security systems second only to Air Force One, as if one BBJ wasn’t enough.
