Apparently Charles ‘Sox’ Hosegood, former FAA Avenger pilot and latterly Bristol Chief Test Pilot, has ‘crossed the bar’ at the age of 93.

How sad. Another of my boyhood test pilot idols dies and he may even be the last of that immediate post war breed.
