CTA Convertiplano/Spitfire!

I was reading the Wikipedia page about Mr Focke (of Focke Wulf fame) and was stunned to see that he had designed a sort of Osprey forerunner for the Brazillian Air Force in the 1950s. It was based on the wings and tail of a “Spitfire 15” (Seafire?) and was powered by a Wright R3350. It says it never entered service, but flew about 300 times!
Is this well known among the experts – or have I rediscovered a hidden gem?

Based on a Mk.XIV airframe, serial RM874 that was acquired by the Brazilian Air Attaché’s office in Brazil
