Apparently the fire can be seen from the terminal. The leased plane is supposed to be owned by Blue Panorama Airlines who have a code share arrangement with Cubana. The company has long been in trouble financially. the plane is reported as having 104 or 107 persons on board.

Now confirmed as a B.737 on wet lease to Cubana and flying from Havana to Holquin, believed to be Flt. 972. The plane crashed in a fireball and fire fighters are struggling to contain the fire.
