Current location of ships

I remember seeing a site somewhere in which the present location of each ship could be plotted. I think there was a link here on this forum somewhere but I couldn’t find it just now.
Perhaps someone here knows and can help.

Thanks
Peter

What is it about calling home that is so difficult that youngsters won’t do it? I’m half lucky, one son will call on a regular basis just for a chat to catch up with the goings on the other I could wait for ever for a reply to text messages I sent the eldest a text about a month ago and I’m still waiting for a reply.

The Somali ‘entrepreneurs’ make very effective use of this system.

If you use vesseltracker, you can specify a ship name and see its current position using AIS technology, with the added bonus of being able to see all my ship photos, 1,888 of them and counting, I am contributor “plang”!

This one ? http://www.ais-live.co.uk/ I used it to track my son this summer.

That’s a bit extreme, couldn’t you just have bought him a PAYG mobile phone like most responsible parents…? 😉
