cutting resin parts from sprues

can anyone help me with this. im in the middle of making an eduard mig21, which is a top kit. i have got the brassin bits , but however much i gently try to cut the resin parts off i end up splitting them or totally ruining them. frustrating :dev2:

As above I use a razor saw. Be very gentle and take your time. A craft knife will just break, split the resin.
Also wear a face mask. Resin is bad news if inhaled.

I’ve always used a razer saw remove the casting blocks from resin parts.

I’ve found that if the block is big enough, put it in a vice, restrain the resin part by hand, and saw as close to the joint line as you feel comfortable with.
