Puzzle:
seeing the nice ‘bumble bee’ coloured Lizzie owned by the CWH (C-GCWL) it carries code 2363, which is correct according to the official Canadian Civil register, and also according to Warbirds Directory….
But…. the official site of the Canadian Warplane Heritage calls it 2361
Is anyone of you aware of the truth? (supposing there is one, when you consider the fact that Lysander IDs seem to have been swapped very easily)
A second airframe (ex RCAF2364) is mentioned in the Directory as a source of spares and possible candidate for restoration too (as C-GCWW). I remember vaguely that this one was sold to Belgium???

We can confirm that our Lysander is RCAF 2363 (C-GCWL). Our website is incorrect about it being 2361. Here are a few images of 2363:

I dont think we should get too hung up about identities, especially when it involves aircraft that have spent a long while in limbo. Its a different story with airframes that have a contiuous and proven history but like many that have sat derelict on a farm the chosen identity can be just an educated guess.
This situation has not been helped by some thoughtless types who have muddied things even more by removing data plates as souvenirs.
