If you expand and closely examine the first photo released to the media you can see a fence across the field and it looks as if it is after that point that the track of the aircraft through the crops slews.

ps … Must’ve come down with quite a thump. Lysanders were somewhat designed for “off-airport” landings!

I’m told that the Canadian wind turbines are fitted with interrupter gear for just such incidents as this!

Social media updated with recovery photo’s. Minor damage to blade tips and port u/c beam snapped it would seam….

That’s a shame, as she is an amazing aircraft.
But as long as the crew were OK, that’s the main thing.
