Afternoon all,
Spent a thoroughly enjoyable day at Brunty yesterday for the first open day of the year. An awesome experience as ever, the appearance of the Vulcan was a treat, but the real highlight for me was the trio of Buccs running together, a truly fantastic sight

I wonder how many of the pilots are tempted to say screw the bureaucrats, slam the throttles forward and pull the stick back,, do a circuit or two then set it back down, and i wont believe some have not been tempted.

Fantastic photography
What a stunning set of photos from a great day.
I was also lucky enough to be there and had a 450D with an 80-400mm Sigma and I still can’t seem to get pics as sharp & well defined as yours. Either that or I feel not worthy. What gets me is that you really do know where and when to be to take those pics, especially to be prepared for those flypast shots. I had earplugs in after that Lightning run, so couldn’t hear those Seakings coming until the last minute. People looking skywards along the crowd line gave me an Idea that something was coming. For those head on Bucc shots I couldn’t have been that far away from you!

Great pictures Seamus, what kit you using? I had a canon 30D + 100-400 and struggled with the light conditions, as well as people getting in the way lol!
I was using the same lens but with a 40D. The light was iffy all day, being particularly bad for the Lightning’s run. Had to do a lot of work during post-processing to clean them up to a desirable level.
Thought I might as well add a few more shots that took my fancy.
