I just had a look at the various options of getting from MAN to HKG next year and got some bad vibes about the return of CX!
CX timings: 15 hrs 10 mins
BA/LH (45mins connect in FRA): 13 hrs 10 mins
LH (90 mins connect in FRA): 13 hrs 50 mins
KL (85 mins connect in AMS): 14 hours
BA/QF (80 mins connect in LHR): 14 hrs 15 mins
Now if “time equals money” for the business traveller, would they prefer to keep on the same aircraft for the duration or take a risk with the connections?
I’m sure there’d be better prospects for CX having a successful return if it were a 3 weekly non-stop operation!

Lets hope they rotate the aircraft on the MAN-HKG route at a good rate, so that we can get them all logged before they stop.

And the fact that the cheapest fare i could find was over £650 for the time i wanted to go. I’m gonna fly VS from LHR instead now
