Another one for the Grekos –
The Katadromis and MYK Naval Specials are supposedly to form a rapid reaction force in the new year, and will be airborne deployed by 3 helicopters. This was reported by Socrates Hasikios (Defence Secretary) to the CNA News Agency shortly after the collapse of UN talks 3 days ago.
The Mil Mi-17 Hip was mentioned, but I was already under the (mistaken?) belief that the order for 4 Bell-412EP’s had been reinstated two years ago.
Anyone got some better info on this, as I refer back to the Hind purchase when rumours were flying around that 3 Hips had been purchased with them but not delivered?
