Cyprus Eurocypria fleets

Cyprus Airways ditched their Boeing aircraft to create an all Airbus fleet; 2 A319, 8 A320, 2 A330, claiming it would lower costs. Eurocypria, Cyprus’ subsidury, replaced their A320 fleet with B737-800 claiming they offered better economics. Wheres the logic? Surely it would be cheaper to operate either Boeing or Airbus rather than different types of aircraft for what is effectivly the same airline, especially now their struggling?

Surely they are being used for completely different purposes. High density 737-800’s compared to scheduled CY A320’s.
The Eurocypria 737-800’s were perhaps chosen to fly into airports with no baggage loading facilities etc.( i.e 737 loading is nearer to the ground)

Agree. Eurocypria is a charter airline so needs an aircraft to suit high density, high rotation needs (probably the same reason why Ryanair chose the 738) whereas Cyprus Airways scheduled routes.

I think instead of saying ****-pit, you should just say cockpit
