In this 70th Anniversary year of the Battle of Britain, could I draw forum readers attention to a book I have jointly edited with Norman Franks about a Czech ‘Ace’ who took part in both the Battle of France and Battle of Britain. His name was Stanislav Fejfar and he kept a diary from the day of his escape from Czechoslovakia to his death in combat with Hauptmann ‘Pips’ Priller in May 1942 over the Channel. It gives a different aspect of the air war and political situation during these early days as seen by Fejfar and has many unseen photos taken from his personal album.
The book is titled ‘A Fighter Pilot’s Call to Arms’ and is published by Grub Street.

All,
Having just received my copy I wholeheartedly agree with all of the above statements and urge you to buy a copy.
A very thoroughly researched and well illustrated addition to your library, certainly a one to buy in this the 70th anniversary year.
