We are trying to find some photos that my Father had from June 1944 of the beach at Aramanche. It was taken low-level from (he said) a PR Mosquito’s nose camera. The photos were to be thrown away a few weeks after the invasion and he thought they were part of history. Very few PR missions were flown as they were trying to divert attention away from the Normandy beaches. I cannot remember what the exact dates were – they might have been from May as there were some weather related delays prior to June 6th.
Hopefully we can find them and, if so, plan to donate them to either Duxford if they are interested or to some other museum.

Will do.
We actually live in California now but I will be back in the UK next week. I am sure there are many others in museums around the UK.

These photos sound very exciting. If you do manage to find the Arromanches ones, could you perhaps scan them and post them here (or somewhere else and post a link) so that we can see them?
Incidentally, Keele University owns the aerial reconnaissance archive from WW2 covering photography taken of occupied Europe and other areas, but not of the UK. If you can’t find the photos, it is possible there might be duplicates at Keele.
