Love mossies, especially the fighter bombers. Anyone know how far the DH Museum example is from being complete?

Referring to Will J’s post #85.
Anyone care to comment on the Dark Green / Earth Camo scheme?
Reason why I ask is that I believe Ferrymead Aviation Society (Christchurch) has an original fin in that scheme, I think from HR339.

Looking superb neilly! I was only thinking the other day how you’re getting on with this lovely bird! So… when’s the big day gonna be? Can’t wait to see some aerial shots! In fact, it would be nice to do what we’d said we’d do… My Mick Reeves Spitfire IX has seen a good year’s active service now and is just itching to formate with a Mosquito! he he 😉
Remind me, where do you fly from again?

More Mossie’s please!
Great shot Papa 😉 ,
I wonder if she’s like the one in South Africa.!!!, climb in, strap in, on just GO
It’s been said, that one is in such good nick, it could be brought down from it’s loft, and flown without really heavy work being done 😮 .
If only………..
Just how many Mossie’s, colecting dust around the world, are really close to flying, or could be really with a bit, or lot of work  .
I will not be content really 🙁 , till another Mossie take’s to the wing 🙂 .
It just has to be a Flying Mossie or nothing for me,
a Mossie flying is an almost a living,
breathing piece of flying history!!!.So fluid in flight!(thank’s Neilly for airshow vid mate 😎 )

I still keep going over that CD Mossie pack, you sent me for last Xmas Neilly  ,
Losing the leg’s below the Knee’s in a mossie 😮 , still chill’s me a bit, every time I listen to it, Which by now must be about 50!!!
Mosquito story, Awsome Awsome stuff, and well you know what I said about that display video stuff, on the CD, of the Now departed R.I.P. Mossie and crew, it is rather full on 😮 😮 😮 .
Just bloody amazing display, I called the guy next door to me in his wheel chair, In to my place to look at it, He said Bullsh*t  , that’s a model aircraft display.
I still don’t think he think’s it real!!!. six month’s latter and 5 time’s over!!! 😮 .
We all must get a Mossie up again,
And I must again take a trip down to Aussie Mossie again, at Point Cook, for more sanding, Bloody thing still will not fly, or ever start!! and that’s in ten year’s  ., but are you ready get excited………she….will….look…real….nice…,but boring 🙁
But they are following the N.Z. Mossie body’s dude’s progress, as this one is pretty poor state.
Told me running two donk’s will be to expensive as well, so no sound 🙁 ,
Even the Start up sound on my computer is a twin mossie going past fast, how can we not have that here in Oz 🙁 🙁
By: STORMBIRD262 - 1st June 2005 at 16:53
