Hello everyone,i seem to have broken my camera (D50), i can’t seem to access the full menu of settings.I wan’t to change my metering from spot to the default setting but my options on the menu is curtailed to just 6 options,the metering setting is option 13 according to the manual,but i can’t access it,i scroll down to 6 and that’s as far as it will go.Does anybody know how to reset the camera to the factory settings?

Problem solved!…i had it on basic menu & not detailed,thanks any way chaps:o

Not too up on the Nikon’s ,
but are you in the automatic mode on the settings when trying to access
this setting, ?
if like canon you can only access certain settings in the creative modes i;e
TV /AV Manuel modes etc. (not the auto point and shoot modes).

There is a return to factory settings in the menus somewhere, i cant recall where without looking. If no one has been able to find out i will have a look for you later.
