Hi Folks. I had a look through a couple of days back and noted some chat about the guys who do Dads Army. I was actually L/Corporal Jones with that group for almost 13 years until I quit in 2005. Though I am in the Shoreham Promo pics for 2006.
I am still friends with them and if there are any questions I can put you in touch with them.

Hi,
my mother has send all sorts of things to me since I moved to Norway (mostly books from the op shop)… this book just arrived last week. it has a lot of photos, bios and some episodes scripts……… VERY funny and interesting stuff!:D

My best friend in Oz sent me a DVD with about 20 episodes of Dad’s Army on it a few months ago!
My Norwegian wife just does not find it as funny as I do!
I found these interesting websites (there are other Dad’s Army websites)…

Happens to the best of us mate, I used to be in the ATC and have done exactly the same once or twice…or maybe a few more times, cant really give an accurate figure, but I know that you certainly do feel a bit of a plonker as soon as you know you’ve done it!:D
You can say that again 😀 😀 😀 Which squadron were you with???
I’m an instructor with No.579 (Llandrindod Wells) Sqn – saw the light and transferred from the ACF as soon as I was old enough 😀 😀 😀 LMAO 😀

I actually got my nickname ‘Pike’ from Dad’s Army.
I used to be an actor in the theatre before I joined the ACF at the age of 14 and after turning right instead of left on parade one day it’s been Pike ever since 😀 😀 😀 LOL 😀
Used to do rather good impressions of him too 😀 😀 😀

German airman dangling from clocktower: Bitte, mein Herr! Oh, bitte, bitte!
Jones: It’s no good trying to apologize.
German: Schnell! Schnell!
Jones: Never mind about the smell. That’s got nothing to do with it. :D:D
