No link yet…just hearing about it. Will update once the story is up. All rest 747 and 777 orders remain.

Did you not see the thread where a lot of the Airbus Fanboys were touting the recent glut of A320 orders as the end of the line for the 737?
Quite laughable.
You know my thoughts on fanbois of all persuasions, amigo. π

Volume sales of some commuter aircraft are becoming like cars
Volume sales of some commuter aircraft are becoming like cars
One day one model of volume car is in but beaten by a competitor the next day by a body shell mod claimed to give improved performance figures. All pie in the sky but with it tagged are some improved finance deals so ahem!
And so similarly lies the fate of commuter aircraft but there is no death of any Boeing model at present and it’s await news in Q1 2012 after delivery in Q3 2011 of the ‘plastic pig’.:D
DAE must be buying individual disposable jet propulsion packs for their future potential commuter passengers. It’s in reality a one way ticket sale as they never come back

That would be somewhat perverse, even by the standards of that august site

β¦A320NEO will take over the world.
Clearly, it isβ¦:D
KabirT, as you say, purely over-optimism.
They still have a larger order for 747-8Fs and 777-300ERs.

That would be somewhat perverse, even by the standards of that august site, given that the same article tells us that DAE cancelled an order for Airbus narrowbodies (including the A320NEO) back in June,

I’m just waiting for the inevitable thread on A.net touting this cancellation as proof the A320NEO will take over the world.

Good to have you back, Lance. π
@ThreeSpool: Cheers for the link, I think a number of things can be responsible for this but I do smell a large dosage of over-optimism that in my opinion both EK and associates such as DAE seem to be on.

It must be a socialist plot……. :diablo:

Have DAE not cancelled a lot of aircraft already?
