Dakota 111 FL517 / G-AJAZ / EC-ADR – any photos?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to source some photos of a C-47A-50-DL, constructors number 10100 / AAF serial 42-24238. This aircraft was delivered to the RAF as FL517 in September 1943 (512, 511 Sqns & 1381(T)CU) & later went to Westminster Airways as G-AJAZ (1947-48) & on to Iberia as EC-ADR “51” (1948-65).

I have photos of this aircraft in it’s later service (Spanish Air Force, etc), but none in it’s earlier years. Would anyone out there happen to have any photos (or other information) that they could share with me?.

I’m currently restoring the nose section of this aircraft & am trying to put together a comprehensive history of the airframe to accompany the display.

Many thanks in advance

Rich

Hey Wieesso, another 10 out of ten bonus, first with my Optica question and now the DC.3 problem. Have to watch out for you and your detective work!:)

Not the first time I have seen your website! I will give you this link which shows EC-ADR. Good luck with the project!:)

Edit. Link doesn’t seem to work, so thumbnail added although probably pretty small. If you want the full link, e-mail me for it!
