Dakota bits needed

I am currently restoring Dakota KG651 (alias G-AMHJ) at RAF Shawbury on behalf of the Assault Glider Trust.

Does anyone out there have any contacts for obtaining original radio equipment, a cockpit door, aerials or any original fittings?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Incidently, the next open weekend is in September where all three aircraft (Dak, Horsa and Waco Hadrian) will be open for inspection inside and out. Details and photos on the trusts website.

Thanks guys.

Tim at Skysport has got a pile of Dak bits but at the moment it is a pile!
When he has time to sort it all out most of our missing fittings can be supplied. He is also supplying a Tiger Moth for the trust.

Bruce – I will compile a list of our radio wants and send it off ASAP – Many Thanks.

Skysport did have a load of Dakota airframe stuff.

Fantastic restoration job, a real credit to you.
