Dakota flights at Blackpool

Hello all,
Ive just seen promotional leaflets around regarding a chance to fly in a classic Dakota around Blackpool Tower!

It seems that classicflight.com are running a 3 day event here at Blackpool Airport with this wonderful old bird! …. £55 quid a shot sounds good to me.
Take a look at http://www.classicflight.com for more info.

See you on the ramp in the que!

Fly safe,

The reason being Classic Flight were only asked to do one flypast! I understand that Brian did a second one later on while he was waiting for a landing slot and having some fun. 🙂

Re: Meteor fly-by over Coventry. Was there a specific reason for only one pass do you know?

Well things didn’t go quite according to plan! Unfortunately the Dak went u/s this morning which unfortunately brought an end to the fun. Hopefully she’ll be fixed and ready to fly back Monday afternoon. Appologise’s to those people who turned up and were dissappointed. 😮

Don’t forget we will be at Old Warden this Sunday (3rd) offering pleasure flights at the airshow in the Rapide. Hope to meet some of you there.

Anyway here are few pictures for those that are interested in the flight up etc.

Will J…..no reply to my Inverness request, so I assume you are all booked up for 2007 ?

..ah, sorry that nothing has come back yet, I will chase up on a reply tomorrow. We are certainly looking into a Scottish tour later in the year, though the exact details are having to fit in around other commitments. Watch this space!

Southend, funny you should mention that…. we are currently looking into a late summer date around that neck of the woods, watch this space!

If it is Southend I am sure I could get a few more people intrested in joining a flight

PS… Given the theme of the thread, it would be rude not to post…;)

Love too but travling up from Southend might prove a bit of long old hike…

Now if a flight or two from Southend could be arranged…

Good Spot that XM172! 🙂

I will be there as part of the Ground Support Team, dont forget to introduce yourself to us, although my favourite aircraft is the Lightning so be warned!

Anybody else fancy a flight?
