Dakota loss – Arneham

Was at a wedding yesterday and got talking to the brides father. He mentioned serving in the RAF during the war and being shot down while towing gliders to Arneham in September 1944. He wouldn’t elaborate any further and went on to tell us about his business ventures, owning 40% of Rolleiflex as well as having a commercial interest in Rolex.

Still I was more interested in his RAF carrier.

Does anyone have to hand a list of Dakota’s lost during the Arneham campaign, in particular one that had an I R Parker as co pilot ?

I just checked the book Tugs and Gliders to Arnhem by Arie-Jan van Hees. Couldn’t find it though.
