Hi everyone,
As you may know, we’ve been working on a few Haynes manuals over the last few years and have clocked up the Lanc, Spit, Hurri and Mess 109. We’re now working on a Dak manual and would love to include a piece by a Dak aircrew/groundcrew veteran.
The couple of sources that I have, have not been able to help due to various circumstances, so if you know of anyone out there who would be willing to write a few words and perhaps have a couple of photos to accompany them, but not essential, then that would be fantastic.
Thanks
Mrs Fluffy

Try WIX, there are some former and current C-47/DC-3 pilots there..if you don’t mind Americans…(after all, they only designed and built the bloody thing 🙂 ).

She was definitely best as RAEs ZA947, is it unique in being re-serialled (back and forth!) while still being a military aircraft?

There are a lot of Dak pilots, old and new in South Africa. Drop a line to FlyAfrica.info. I flew a Dak when elastic was still made of rubber.I just bought the Hurricane manual, and will buy the Dak manual when it is published. Will upload pics when I get to a scanner….currently in the bush. You guys are doing a fantastic job, keep it up!
