The flights I have taken have always used airbridges.

I have been there many times over the years including far too many times to the old terminal. Its usually an airbridge, but anything is possible on a busy day 😉
Agree about the stupid terminal prices as well.

Thanks Steve.
Is the airport one that uses airside bridges or airside buses or is it walk off and on the plane.

Do not go into the shops or duty free in Dalaman airport. They may as well wear three pointed hats and call themselves Turpin in the shops. On my first visit I bought a Beer, Coffee, Sandwich and Crisps. £25. It will set you back over £10 for a generic McBuger and starch sticks. You go through a security screen just to get in to the terminal and can take drinks past this point but not past the second screening after you have checked in. Have a hearty breakfast and book a meal on the flight.
Duty Free is also similarly expensive. All prices are bizzarley in Euros.
The terminal is very modern and clean. The old terminal is now used for domestic flights. Apart from my TCX flight I have only ever seen EZY at Dalaman, but thats because I travel there out of season. Last visit did bring up two unidentified Mi8s. Big glass windows which are very clean do offer a good view across the ramp.
Attached to DLM is a Turkish Miliatry Base. I have never seen it being used by an active Turkish Air Force Aircraft. You will drive past the entry to the base when you go back to DLM on the way home. Look out for the cherry F5 and F104 mounted on poles.
Dont forget to take a clean and unused £10 note for each person for their 90 day tourist visa. Enjoy turkey, its beautiful.

it has some terminals, apron and a runway. Its just like an airport really.
Responses like this annoy the hell out of me. Seriously, what’s the point in posting something so useless?
Tommy, I’ve not used the airport myself but some of my family have. They agree with the hundreds of reviews online at websites such as SkyTrax, where travellers have complained about the exorbitant prices charged for food and drink especially.

I wonder what the problem is ? Other places like Italy and Spain aren’t as strict.

You cannot take photos at most if not all Turkish airports, but not strictly enforced especially for civilian movements. Hope this will not effect your photographic oppurtunities too much Tommy.

Apparently you can’t take photo’s at Dalaman 😮

I’m sure someone posted a photo thread regarding Dalaman airport with photos of aircraft a short while back on civil aircraft images forum?

For questions like these, your best bet is Google, Wikipedia, Airliners.net and so on. 🙂
