Listen to that beautiful engine sound! The scoop under the belly of the Mustang created the Meridith effect increasing the speed of the aircraft.

That’s the man, thank you. Hope we have him back this year too,far more suitable than M Chabbert.

The sound is more likely to be the airflow over the gun barrels. All 51s I worked on with dummy 50 cal barrels Made the sound. The ones without didnt. Just my observation.

From what I’ve heard of them, most could do with taking lessons from the Australian, whose name I can’t remember, that we were treated to at Flying Legends last year. He really does keep quiet when he says he’s going to and knows the right time to do so.

It sounds like Rob Reider doing the commentary. He is one of the better US commentators, researches his stuff properly and knows most of the performers personally. There are some truly awful, over-hyped and inaccurate, airshow commentaries in the US, but Rob is certainly one of the best.

Sorry to say my standard of what is a good video has been influenced by pro productions in the UK. This one is very shaky and the viewpoint is too low and away from the flightline which results in obstructions appearing often.

Agreed, camera work was O.K.
Commentator, as is often the case, was painful to listen to, especially with the echo and reverb.
Youtube clips work best with commentary coming from the subject 🙂

Nice footage ,just a shame the commentator is in line for the dubious please be quiet award,of which most commentators are part of.
