I saw the film many moons ago. Those old movies had much more atmosphere than most of the junk they put out today. Condolences to his family and may he RIP.
How very true, all the great actors are getting old and dying off and we’re getting left with today’s computer enhanced tripe and ****e actors

A sad inevitable loss, but as moggy said, he had a good run. A real gentleman, a fine actor and a very brave old soldier.
Goodnight Mr Todd.

That is sad. He was a good actor and real gentleman and a fine soldier. Mme Gondree who runs the cafe at Pegasus Bridge knew him well as he almost never failed to visit Normandy every June. Indeed his last visit was in a wheelchair along with many other veterans last year.
