Dambusters Weekend

Hi all,
For those of you that missed it, I went on the Flypast Dambusters weekend and cannot find the words to describe it! Stayed at the Petwood, went to RAF Conningsby, East Kirkby, talks about the men behind the medals and surprised by the appearance of Richard Todd!
If any one gets the opportunity to go on one of these weekends, it is an experience and a half.
Thank you to Ken, editor of Flypast.

Hi Steve,
Sorry can’t put a face to the name as there was so much to take in this weekend.
I was the lucky one that got to drive the 1929 Morris – that too was an experience!

I went too, and totally agree. It was a superbly organised event, from the BBMF hangar tour at Coningsby, the Lanc taxy and Sptifire display at East Kirkby, organised walk around Woodhall Spa’s bomb dump and two great evening talks. Plus visits to other local Bomber Command airfields which we organised for ourselves.

If they repeat this – go. Thanks Ken and cteam.
