Yesterday, the Ukraine (helped by the foul scrap-merchants from Raytheon) began scrapping another batch of Tu-22M bombers at Poltava. In the next two weeks, a total of 31 bombers will be scrapped at both Poltava and Mikolajiv.
Sad to see this end of a perfectly beautiful Tu-22M3… i thought they were going to focus on the last remaining M2s (there should still be a bunch of those at Mikolajiv) but this EPA pic (via DTRA) proves me wrong…
