Damyns Hall

Some pics from this rather good event, a Military Vehicle/Re-enactor show but with a good aviation element…

No problem. I only posted them here as Damyns Hall was the title of the thread, and the moderators don’t usually like too many threads on the same subject.

I’ll start another yet another thread with the same title. 😉

I would prefer that you post these as your own thread not added to this one.

You are most welcome. The judges at aero comps are notoriously eagle eyed and you can be sure that if your verticals and 45’s are more than a couple of degrees out they will spot it and you lose points. Because the competition is so fierce it is most undesirable to lose points if you can do anything to prevent such loss.

The wonderfully simple coat hanger is a sighting device to make sure that you get your 45 degree and vertical angles spot on to avoid lose points in comp aeros.

Fantastic stuff

fascinating that a spit or p51 could land there. Now if only somebody would like to try…..:D

I hope to be there either Saturday or Sunday.

We went a couple of years ago, and I seem to remember there was only a
Spitfire flying. Which we didn’t stay for.

It’s a good day out.

Any idea of a flight time for all of the above yet?

Must say you guys have got an even better line up than last year!!

Also, one would assume that neither the spits or stangs will land?

Interesting to see the ATOS class 5 being towed up. I have never seen one with tow wheels (or two people). They are usually foot launched from a hill.
