Another day, another show.
This is mostly a military reenactment display which was very interesting in itself and popular with young children though I did not take any photos of those activities, just a very good look. Quite a lot of loud bangs going off.
I arrived at about 10.45 and was in the gate with my car within five minutes and must have been lucky as I seemed to arrive in the opposite direction to most of the traffic on the least busy but well signposted route from the A13. Either that or people all decided to arrive en masse rather late. The car parks were packed out.
The BBMF Dakota was due as the first display but tech problems meant that it did not do a flypast until sometime between 5.30 and 6.pm when most people had left. Well done for keeping the appointment even though it was four hours later than scheduled and also my congratulations to the organisers to all the activities that day.
Well worth going to -that is if Havering Council do not succeed in closing the airfield. Let’s hope the show goes on.
Cheers
Martin
