Danish Air Transport ATR-42s in Blackpool from April !

They are starting a new service from Blackpool to Albert-Picardie in France.
Great movement ! What a strange combination of destination and airline.

Back in the 90’s I was working on charter flights out of Blackpool down to Jersey with our 42’s & 72’s. Maybe the local residents are getting more exotic with their choice of weekend stay?

So this will make them an international airline? 😀

So here are photos of their 42’s and 72’s, very pretty, but it says the 42 is cargo only?

Maybe not really that strange.
There is a big Airbus factory at Albert and, of course, BAE Warton is close to Blackpool.
Could there be a connection?
