A few cockpit parts have turned up from Danish Hunter ‘E-408’ on E-Bay. Be interesting to know when they left her as she has been on gate guard duty for years and she is now over in the Newark area with a private owner.

10/10 for trying Dave !- seems a little negative not to want a quite important part of your own aircraft even if only to put on the mantlepiece!

An email reply from Mr Spurr’s company ‘GroundEquipmentSupplies’……
” Many thanks for your email, however, as the plane is now on a high pedestal and the cockpit is sealed Mr Spurr is not interested in purchasing the instrument panel.

I might be wrong but didn’t Sealand close this year, or was that part of Stafford, or Both

First thing I would do if I had some recognisable parts from a known machine is hunt the owner – post something like ‘is the Sealand Hunter still on the gate?’ would work.
At risk of repeating myself, all current info’ such as W&R 20 (to which you contribute) and ‘Thunder and Lightnings’ puts this airframe at RAF Sealand, so i would not have the time or inclination to contact the MOD etc… to see if it actually was still there. 🙁
She belongs to Nigel Spur – I am sure he has something which you would like as a trade /swop etc .
Ok fine, but you have all my contact info’ plus the PM system on here, so why didn’t you say so in the first place…. tut

It’s been in the Newark area for a good while now….
Ok, and i’m supposed to know that because…..?
I’m a mind reader… No
Someone tells me….No
My PM box is still empty on the subject… YES !
etc, etc…..
I would very much prefer this panel to go back to the airframe from which it was removed (stolen ?), so as i said, if you know where it is, why not get in touch…? (assuming they want it original unlike E-412’s owner at Brooklands who is determined to ‘convert’ it to an F.4)

Dave T – It’s been in the Newark area for a good while now . As for the parts – they are of interest to Hunter owners hence the posting!!!

Dave,
Its the panel that came with WN957 which as you well know, is NOT an F.51 variant. Therefore it is surplus to requirements.
Current issue of W&R 20 has that airframe on the gate of RAF Sealand. If you know otherwise or indeed know the owners, why not get in touch via PM instead of launching a new thread on the forum ?
I mean really c’mon……….. 😡
