Dash 8 help.

I’m travelling Air SouthWest over the next few weeks using their new MAN-PLH route. Does anyone know where the best seats are for an uninterrupted view; I know the engines can get in the way a bit. They operate Dash-8-300s, probably going to be G-WOWB (formally G-BRYT). I’ve never flown on this type so any info gratefully received.

I sat directly in line with the port prop on a European Dash 8 at LCY two years. After several rev ups to near max power the pilot announced that he was retuning to the terminal. I was relieved, there was a lot of vibaration. We then changed onto a BA146. My return flight I sat right at the back in a window seat, highly recommended.

Jeasnske is absolutely correct, if you want to see outside then right at the back or right at the front, although sitting by an engine is interesting, especially on landing where you can actualy see the wheels touch the ground when you land!

Probably the seats most to the rear or most to the front. Sitting near the engine isn’t too bad… If you sit at the flaps, you can see the gear moving and see the gear moving.
